Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
Search terms entered into a third-party tool are sent to that provider, which processes the query and returns its own results. Ector County Warrant Records does not keep a log of those terms on its servers.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email sent to us is retained so we can respond and manage the conversation. We do not pass those messages to an outside party unless law requires disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, routine technical information may be recorded to operate and measure the service:
- The time of a page request
- The referring site, when one is supplied
- Pages viewed and the length of a visit
- Browser name and version
- Device type and operating system
- The device’s IP address
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files saved by your browser. Analytics tools use them to group traffic and show which sections are read most often. You can block cookies through browser settings, though some site features may then work differently.
What We Do With This Data
- Maintaining and improving site performance
- Routing a search form to the provider that operates it
- Reviewing broad traffic patterns and page use
- Diagnosing errors and security issues
- Displaying advertising, which may be tailored by an ad partner
No Warrant Data on File
We do not host or sell warrant databases and do not assemble visitor information into records about other people. The site provides general directions to Ector County offices, including the Sheriff Warrant Division and the courts that issue process. Texas has no single public statewide warrant search. Ector County Warrant Records is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside providers operate the search boxes. Information typed into one of their forms is handled under that provider’s privacy terms, including its retention and sharing practices. Review those terms before submitting a query; we do not control the provider’s systems.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to county or city pages, court portals, legal-help services, or outside search providers. Once you leave Ector County Warrant Records, the destination’s privacy terms apply. Check them before sharing personal information.
Some advertising networks may track activity across websites to choose ads. That tracking is managed by those networks.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Information may be shared with the following service groups when needed:
- Government authorities if a valid legal demand requires disclosure
- Ad networks that place ads on the pages
- Analytics providers that measure visits and site performance
- Search companies that process requests submitted through their tools
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable technical and organizational steps are used to protect the information we handle. Internet systems cannot be guaranteed free of risk, so no method can promise that a security incident will never occur.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from people under 18. If you believe a minor sent information to us, contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.
Your Data Rights
The Texas Public Information Act, Government Code Chapter 552, covers requests for government-held records. It does not make this private reference site a government records office. For information held by Ector County, use the county’s public-information route; for data sent directly to us, you may ask us to:
- Explain what personal information is held in a message or account record
- Correct details that are inaccurate
- Remove information when we no longer need to retain it
- Stop a use that can be disabled through available settings
Read Chapter 552 for access to releasable Texas government information.
